Through Tova, you will have the opportunity to participate in a range of social events, both paid and free, designed to facilitate high-calibre, quality connections. Our events include experiences like pizza-making socials, cocktail-making socials, and art jamming sessions, as well as social hangouts at speakeasies, sports streaming events at bars, and more. Each event is invite-only, and we use our sophisticated matching algorithm to pair attending members with compatible individuals, in addition to group compatibility to ensure every interaction, both group and individual is both enriching and enjoyable.
The Terms are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all Tova users. They outline your rights and responsibilities when using Tova, as well as the steps we take to maintain a positive community. It’s important that you read and understand them fully.

- Matching Algorithm: Tova’s proprietary system designed to pair members with compatible individuals at events or through one-to-one matching services.
- Privacy Policy: The document that explains how Tova collects, uses, and protects members’ personal information, as well as members’ rights related to their data.
- User Content: Content, including but not limited to text, images, videos, and posts, that members contribute to Tova’s platform or services.
- Community Guidelines: The rules and standards established by Tova to promote respectful and positive interactions within the community.
- Account: The personal section of Tova’s platform where members can manage their profile, subscriptions, event registrations, and preferences.
- Third-Party Services: Services provided by external entities that are integrated with or utilized by Tova to enhance its offerings. Examples include payment processors and email communication platforms.
- Terms: These Terms and Conditions, which govern the use of Tova’s services and members’ engagement with the community.
- Platform: The digital interface, including Tova’s website and mobile application, through which members interact with Tova’s services and community.

Membership and Subscription Options
At Tova, we offer two ways to engage with our community: as a subscribed member or a non-subscribed member. Each option provides unique access to Tova’s high-calibre network and events, ensuring members can choose the level of involvement that best suits their needs.
Non-Subscribed Members
Non-subscribed members have access to Tova’s community and select events but may experience limited opportunities, including:
- Event Participation: Attend some of Tova’s curated events, subject to availability and event-specific criteria.
- Matching Services: Benefit from one-to-one matching (Tova Buddy) and group compatibility algorithms at selected events.
- Pay-as-You-Go Model: Purchase tickets for events individually at standard rates.
Subscribed Members
Subscribed members enjoy the above benefits and additional perks that elevate their Tova experience. These benefits include:
- Access to Tova Spaces
- Exclusive access to Tova Spaces, a network of partner venues across Hong Kong where premium members can socialize, work, and connect in a comfortable setting.
- Enjoy special perks such as discounts, priority seating, and exclusive deals at select venues.
- Depending on the venue, members may be allowed to bring guests who can also enjoy Tova Spaces perks. Guest policies vary by location and are subject to venue rules.

- Reduced Ticket Prices: Access exclusive events at discounted rates, ensuring a more cost-effective way to engage with the Tova community.
- Exclusive Invitations: Receive an invite to our next exclusive event within 7 days of subscribing, ensuring a quick start to your journey with Tova.
- Monthly Invitations: Guaranteed at least two exclusive invites per month, providing ample opportunities to participate in meaningful events.
- Priority Event Access: Enjoy priority access when registering for events, ensuring your spot at popular gatherings.
- Newsletter Features: Priority consideration for having your stories, updates, or initiatives published in Tova’s newsletter.
Whether as a subscribed or non-subscribed member, Tova ensures access to a vibrant, supportive community and meaningful social experiences. Subscription provides additional value and convenience for those looking to maximize their engagement with the Tova network.
Referral Discount Program
- Eligibility for the Referral Program:
- All active Tova members are eligible to participate in the referral discount program.
- A successful referral is defined as when the referred individual submits a legitimate application to Tova, and their membership is accepted.
- Referral Reward:
- For each successful referral, the referring member will receive a discount of up to 10% off any paid event.
- The maximum discount per referral is capped at 30 HKD.
- The discount is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Redeeming the Discount:
- To apply the discount, members must contact Tova via email or Instagram and specify the event for which they would like to use their referral discount.
- Upon verification, Tova will generate a unique discount code and send the member a link to apply the discount to that specific event.
- The unique discount code will only be generated once per successful referral, and it must be used for the specified event. If the discount is not used, it will not be reissued or extended.
- Validity and Expiry:
- The referral discount is valid only for the specific event for which the member requested the discount code.
- If the tickets for that event sell out before the member uses their discount code, Tova will not be able to reissue the code or apply it to another event. This means the member will forfeit their chance to use the discount for that referral.
- The discount must be requested within 3 months of receiving the reward.
- Limitations:
- The referral discount is only applicable to paid events and cannot be applied to membership fees or other purchases.
- Tova reserves the right to revoke referral discounts if any fraudulent activity is detected or if the referral does not meet the program’s requirements.
- Changes to the Program:
- Tova reserves the right to modify or terminate the referral discount program at any time, with prior notice to members.
- Any changes will be communicated via email and reflected in the Terms and Conditions.
Membership Eligibility
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 21 years old to become a member of Tova.
- Accurate Information: You must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process.

- Recurring Payments: Membership fees are charged on a recurring basis according to the selected subscription plan.
- Billing Information: Subscribed members agree to provide accurate and up-to-date billing information. Failure to maintain valid billing details may result in the suspension or termination of the subscription.
- Non-Refundable Fees: All membership subscription fees are non-refundable, except as expressly stated in these terms.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Subscription Cancellation: Subscribed members can cancel their subscription at any time through their account settings on Tova’s platform.
- Refund Policy:
- Active Subscriptions: If you cancel your subscription, it will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. No refunds will be provided for the remaining days of the billing cycle.
- Non-Refundable Fees: All subscription fees are non-refundable, except as expressly stated in these terms or as determined by Tova’s discretion.
- Exception Cases: Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis for extenuating circumstances, subject to Tova’s sole discretion.
Tova Spaces
Overview
Tova Spaces is an exclusive benefit available to premium Tova members, providing access to a network of partnered venues across Hong Kong where members can gather, work, socialize, and enjoy exclusive perks such as discounts & special deals. These spaces serve as an extension of the Tova community, designed to foster social interactions beyond curated events.
By utilizing Tova Spaces, you agree to abide by the terms outlined below. Failure to comply may result in the revocation of your access to Tova Spaces and, in severe cases, suspension or termination of your Tova membership.
Eligibility & Access
- Premium Membership Requirement:
- Tova Spaces benefits are only available to subscribed (premium) Tova members. Non-subscribed members do not have access to Tova Spaces perks.
- Tova Digital Membership Card:
- Members must present their Tova Digital Membership Card via Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, along with a valid photo ID, at partner venues to verify their membership and identity.
- Guest Privileges(Venue-Specific):
- Some partner venues allow premium members to bring guests who can also enjoy the perks.
- Guest access and benefits vary by venue and are subject to specific venue policies.
- Members are responsible for ensuring that their guests adhere to venue rules and conduct expectations.

Usage Guidelines
- Respect Partner Venue Policies:
- Members (and their guests, where permitted) must adhere to each partner venue’s rules, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to dress codes, noise levels, reservation policies, and time limits for occupying space.
- Tova is not responsible for venue-specific policies that may restrict or modify member privileges.
- Responsible Conduct:
- Members are expected to behave respectfully and professionally when using Tova Spaces.
- Members are fully responsible for the behavior of any guests they bring to partner venues. Any misconduct by a guest may result in suspension or revocation of the member’s Tova Spaces access.
- Venue Availability & Changes:
- Tova Spaces venues and perks are subject to change at any time.
- Tova reserves the right to add, remove, or modify partner venues and benefits without prior notice.
- Updated venue listings, guest policies, and benefits will be available on Tova Spaces Perks.
Prohibited Activities
- Unauthorized Use of Membership Card:
- Sharing, lending, or distributing your Tova Digital Membership Card to non-members is strictly prohibited.
- Violation of this policy will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the Tova community.
- Misuse of Guest Privileges:
- Bringing more guests than permitted by the venue’s policy.
- Attempting to extend Tova Spaces perks to unauthorized individuals.
- Commercial Use & Solicitation:
- Tova Spaces may not be used for promotional activities, sales, recruitment, or any form of commercial solicitation without prior written approval from Tova.
- Violation of Venue Policies:
- Any actions that violate the partner venue’s policies, including overstaying designated time limits, misusing discounts, or causing disturbances, may result in loss of access to Tova Spaces.
Termination & Enforcement
- Immediate Ban for Unauthorized Sharing:
- Any member found sharing their Tova Digital Membership Card with non-members will be permanently banned from Tova. No exceptions.
- Misconduct at Partner Venues:
- Reports of inappropriate behavior by a member or their guest(s) may result in suspension or revocation of Tova Spaces access.
- Final Decision Authority:
- Tova has the sole discretion to determine violations and impose penalties, including temporary or permanent suspension of Tova Spaces privileges and overall membership.

Member Responsibilities
Code of Conduct
- Warm Welcome: Make every new member feel warmly welcomed at every Tova event. Take the initiative to involve hesitant members in conversations to help them feel included.
- Positive Atmosphere: Foster friendly interactions and maintain a positive atmosphere at all times.
- Support Others: Strive to help and support your fellow Tova members whenever possible. Whether it’s offering a thoughtful introduction, sharing useful information, or simply lending a listening ear, your willingness to help can make a meaningful difference.
- Respectful Interaction: Always treat your fellow Tova members with kindness, sincerity, and respect. Never make anyone feel uncomfortable or out of place. Approach every interaction with genuine care and consideration for the well-being of the community.
- Build Genuine Connections: Actively engage in conversations and activities to build genuine, substantive connections with your fellow Tova members. Seek to learn about their passions, aspirations, and perspectives, and find ways to support one another’s personal and professional growth.
- Embody Tova’s Values: Embody Tova’s values of inclusivity, enrichment, and a commitment to positive impact in your words and actions. Contribute your unique talents and perspectives to enhance our collective community.
- Compliance with Laws: Members must comply with all applicable laws and regulations while participating in Tova’s activities.
Guidelines for Participating in Events
- Event Etiquette: Engage actively and positively with others in a spirit of camaraderie and inclusivity.
- Respect RSVPs: Honour your event RSVPs to ensure accurate planning and a seamless experience for all attendees.
- Interaction with Others: Interact respectfully with fellow members, encouraging meaningful connections and enjoyable conversations.
Prohibited Activities
- Illegal Activities: Engaging in any activity that violates national laws is strictly prohibited.
- Disruptive Behaviour: Avoid behaviour that disrupts the event or negatively impacts the experience of others.
- Commercial Activities: Solicitation, promotion, or selling of products or services without prior authorisation from Tova is not permitted.
- Misuse of Platform: Use Tova’s platform solely for its intended purpose, refraining from any unauthorized activities.
Authority to Ban Members Without Warning
- Zero-Tolerance Policy for Reported Misconduct
- If a member is reported through Tova’s official Report and Safety Mechanism, Tova reserves the absolute right to take immediate action against the accused member.
- Depending on the nature and severity of the report, Tova may permanently ban the accused member from the community without prior warnings or multiple chances.
- Refund Policy for Banned Members
- If a member is banned due to a report, any active subscription fees will be refunded pro rata for the remaining period of their subscription.
- Any upcoming event tickets that have been purchased by the banned member will be fully refunded.
- No further appeals or reinstatements will be granted once the ban is enforced, except at Tova’s sole discretion.
- Referrer Accountability and Consequential Bans
- If a banned member was referred into the Tova community by an existing member, Tova reserves the right to also ban the referrer at its sole discretion.
- This is to ensure that the referral system is not misused and that members are accountable for maintaining the high standards and values of the Tova community.
- Final Decision Authority
- Tova is not required to disclose details of the reports, investigation, or the decision-making process regarding the ban.
- Tova retains full discretion to determine whether a reported member or their referrer should be banned from the community, and its decision will be final and non-negotiable.
This policy is in place to ensure the safety, comfort, and trust of all members within the Tova community. By continuing to use Tova’s services, all members acknowledge and agree to this policy.
Event Participation
Event Invitation Process
- Expression of Interest:
- Members must express interest in attending events through Tova’s platform.
- Event invitations are based on your interested list and Tova’s algorithm to ensure group compatibility and engagement.
- Invitation Acceptance:
- Members receive invitations based on their expressed interests and algorithmic compatibility.
- Members have the option to accept or decline event invitations.
Registration and Attendance Requirements
- Advance Registration:
- Once invited, members must register for events in advance through Tova’s platform.
- Event availability is subject to capacity constraints and other factors.
- Ticketing for Paid Events:
- For paid events, members are required to purchase tickets through Tova’s platform.
- Ticket prices vary and are specified for each event.
- Attendance Obligations: Members are expected to attend events for which they have accepted invitations by purchasing the ticket.
Cancellation Policies
- Cancellation Deadline:
- Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled event.
- Please note: There are no refunds for cancellations.
- Cancellation Allowance:
- Members are allowed up to two cancellations within a rolling 30-day period without penalty.
- Cancellations must be made through Tova’s platform.
- Consequences of Exceeding Allowance:
- If a member exceeds the allowed cancellations, their ability to register for events may be suspended for a designated period of two weeks.
- Members will be notified of any suspension via email and can contact Tova’s support for further assistance or to appeal the suspension.
- Event Cancellation by Tova:
- In the event that Tova cancels a paid event, members will receive a full refund of the ticket price.

- For free events, members will be notified of the cancellation, and no fees will apply.
- Tova reserves the right to reschedule the event, in which case members can choose to transfer their registration to the new date or receive a refund.

- Maintain respectful and courteous behaviour towards fellow attendees and event staff.
- Avoid disruptive behaviour that detracts from others’ enjoyment of the event.
- Compliance with Member Responsibilities: Members are expected to adhere to the behavioural guidelines outlined in the “Member Responsibilities” section above. These guidelines include fostering a positive atmosphere, supporting fellow members, and building genuine connections.
Liability for Personal Property and Personal Injury
- Personal Property: Tova is not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings during events.
- Personal Injury: Attendees participate in events at their own risk and should exercise caution to prevent injury.
Privacy and Data Protection

Intellectual Property
- Ownership of Content Provided by Tova: All content provided by Tova, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Tova or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorised use of this content is prohibited.
- Guidelines for Member-Generated Content:
- Members may submit content such as reviews, comments, and photos. By submitting content, you grant Tova a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content in connection with the services Tova offers.
- Member-generated content must adhere to Tova’s community standards and must not include offensive, harmful, or illegal material. Tova reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines.
- Use of Tova’s Trademarks and Logos:
- All intellectual property rights related to Tova, including but not limited to trademarks, logos, and content, are owned by or licensed to Tova. You agree not to use or reproduce any of these materials without prior written consent from Tova.
- Unauthorised use of Tova’s trademarks and logos is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
Dispute Resolution
Process for Resolving Disputes Between Members and Tova
- Initial Resolution:
- Members are encouraged to first attempt to resolve any disputes directly with Tova’s customer service team by contacting support@tova.social.
- Tova aims to address and resolve disputes promptly and fairly.
- Mediation:
- If initial resolution efforts are unsuccessful, disputes may be referred to mediation. Both parties agree to attempt mediation in good faith before proceeding to any other dispute resolution method.
- Mediation will be conducted by a neutral third-party mediator agreed upon by both Tova and the member.
- Arbitration:
- If mediation fails to resolve the dispute, it may be submitted to binding arbitration. The arbitration will be conducted in accordance with the rules of The Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) in Hong Kong.
- The decision of the arbitrator will be final and binding on both parties.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Judiciary.
- Any disputes arising from or related to these terms and conditions, that are not resolved through mediation or arbitration, will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hong Kong.
Limitations of Liability
Limits on Tova’s Liability
- Service Interruptions: Tova is not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use our services, including any interruptions or delays in service. This includes any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Member Disputes: Tova is not responsible for resolving disputes between members. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from member interactions facilitated through our platform.
Disclaimers of Warranties
- Tova provides services “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- Tova does not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects in the service will be corrected.
General Limitations
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- Tova is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during the participation in events or interactions facilitated by our platform.
- You acknowledge that Tova is not responsible for the conduct or actions of other members.
Indemnification
Members’ Responsibility to Indemnify Tova
- General Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tova, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your use of our services or your violation of these terms.

- Tova will provide notice to you of any such claim, liability, or demand. You agree to cooperate fully with Tova in the defence of any such claim.
- Tova reserves the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree not to settle any such matter without Tova’s prior written consent.
Termination
User-Initiated Termination
- Voluntary Termination:
- You may terminate your use of Tova at any time and for any reason by simply discontinuing use of the Tova services.

Tova-Initiated Termination
